November wine magazine is the very contentious “whites only” issue where the “Wine Magazine panel” taste and rate all the white wines for the year - focussing on sauvignon blanc, the consumer’s favourite. Our Nitida Sauvignon (standard range) was included in their top 10 as were 3 other Durbanville Wines (and 2 others made with Durbanville grapes). Our Woolworths Limited release variant received 3 1/2 stars, our club select 3 stars. No matter that they rate our sauvignons completely differently to the way we do - not unusual in a tasting - what is important is that the class of all our wines is appreciated - which one you choose is a matter of individual preference. Important other stats - Nitida is ranked 8th on the “best value” rating on sauvignon blanc, with the average price for top ten at R60 (Nitida cellar door is R56).
