Besides Bernhard and Peta there are just 8 permanent employees on Nitida.

Happy, constant staff is very important to us. Klaas has worked on the farm for over 20 years, since before it was Nitida. Jacus has assisted Berhard in the cellar and on the farm since 1999, while Moos and Mannie have also been part of the team in the vineyards for over 10 years now. Willem answered the needs of expanding gardens and came to help “greenfingers” Mannie in 2004 and Hendrik joined us a year later to complete the current vineyard staff complement. RJ joined the winemaking team from November 2007 and is already contributing hugely to cellar preparations while, in the office, we are lucky enough to have Getha join us this year. She takes control of all our lifestyle related events.

Obviously there are times when 10 people just won’t hack it. Then - during harvest, pruning, heavy vineyard maintenance and when we bottle - we bring in a regular group of contract staff from the surrounding areas.
